Surrey Facts

Brooklands Racing Circuit, near Weybridge in Surrey, opened on June 17, 1907 and was the first custom-built banked motor race circuit in the world. Brooklands Racing Circuit hosted grand prix racing until the outbreak of World War Two. Today the Brooklands Racing Circuit site is a motoring museum.

Coulsdon Manor is set amidst 140 acres of landscaped Surrey parkland with a large part of it laid down as a challenging 18 hole golf course an oasis of peace and tranquillity yet just 15 miles from both central London and Gatwick and easily accessible from all parts of the South East.

Built for the Byron family in the 1850's Coulsdon Manor has been sympathetically extended yet only having 35 bedrooms means that it has retained a relaxing and intimate atmosphere.

All bedrooms have private bathroom and are equipped with colour television radio direct dial telephone hospitality tray and hairdryer.

Surrounding the hotel the golf course was developed in 1937 and was designed by H S Colt known for his course design including Sunningdale and Wentworth West.

Directions:

From the M23 25 Junction 7 follow the M23 going north until the road becomes the A23. Proceed for 2.5 miles after which you will pass Coulsdon South Railway Station on the right. Just past the station take the right hand turn signposted Old Coulsdon Caterham B2030 . Follow this road uphill for 1 mile and turn left just past the pond then turn left again onto Coulsdon Road B2030 to Purley . After half a mile turn right into Couldson Court Road. At the end of this road you will find Coulsdon Manor.Travelling south from London on the A23 after the major intersection at Purley continue for approximately 1.1 miles then turn left into Stoat's Nest Road B2030 signposted Caterham. Follow the road for approximately 1 mile. Turn left into Coulsdon Court Road which leads to Coulsdon Manor.
